Red bean has been an important herbal ingredient throughout Korean history as well as a beloved skin care ingredient. Women of Joseon, who emphasized skin care that creates clear and clean skin, used mung beans and red beans ground together to wash their faces. The rich saponin in red beans helps with the adsorption of sebum and acts as a natural exfoliant."
"1. Cleanse Your Face: Start with a clean face. Use your usual cleanser to remove makeup, dirt, and oils. Rinse thoroughly and pat your skin dry with a clean towel.
2. Apply Toner: If you use a toner, apply it to balance your skin and prepare it for better absorption of the mask.
3. Dispense the Mask: Scoop out an appropriate amount of the Mask using a clean spatula or your fingers. Typically, a generous layer will cover your entire face.
4. Apply the Mask: Evenly spread the mask over your face, avoiding the immediate eye area. Focus on areas where you feel the skin needs extra hydration or brightening. You can also apply it on your neck or other areas that need a boost.
5. Leave It On: Allow the mask to sit on your skin for the recommended time, usually around 10-15 minutes. This gives the mask time to deliver its benefits, including hydration and brightening.
6. Rinse Off: After the recommended time, rinse the mask off with lukewarm water. Gently massage the mask off in circular motions to help with exfoliation.
7. Pat Dry: Gently pat your face dry with a clean towel.
